02-06-2009 The Global Tobacco Epidemic: Addressing it here and now

On June 2, Dr. Frances Stillman, Associate Professor, Department of Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health delivered a public lecture on “The Global Tobacco Epidemic: Addressing it here and now”. Dr. Stillman is the Co-Director of the Institute for Global Tobacco Control and an internationally recognized expert with over 20 years of experience in tobacco control. She also was responsible for implementing and evaluation the smoking ban at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and School of Medicine. Dr. Stillman met with representatives of the Armenian tobacco control community and the AUA students and alumni and discussed the issues in global tobacco control movement and effective strategies for fighting the tobacco epidemics.
