Funding Agency: World Bank
PI: Varduhi Petrosyan, MS, PhD and Co-PI: Tsovinar Harutyunyan, MPH, PhD
Task 1: Design and conduct a communication diagnostic (needs assessment)
Before conducting data collection, the project team will conduct a comprehensive desk and literature review. We will conduct a nationwide telephone survey of 1000 adults (over 18 years of age) who are permanent residents of Armenia and are able to speak Armenian. The project team will also conduct a qualitative assessment among key external stakeholders that are health providers (physicians, nurses, and managers) from hospitals (public and private) and primary care facilities. We will target providers working in facilities located in Yerevan and two marzes (given the financial constrains of the proposed project).
Task 2: Present the findings of the communication needs assessment at an internal stakeholder workshop
Once the final report is ready, we will organize a workshop with the internal stakeholders. The project team will make a presentation on the main findings and seek feedback from the workshop participants, which also could be used while finalizing the report to be submitted to the World Bank.
