On October 12, Dr. Arusyak Harutyunyan, CHS Project Coordinator/Research Associate, was invited to speak about “Tobacco Control Efforts in Armenia’ at the General Membership dinner meeting of the Armenian American Health Professionals Organization (AAHPO) in New York City, USA. Dr. Harutyunyan spoke about the tobacco epidemic in Armenia, presented the work of the CHSR and Coalition for Tobacco Free Armenia, accomplishments and existing gaps in the field of tobacco control in Armenia and devoted her presentation to the National No Tobacco Day in Armenia. AAHPO represents all health professions including nursing, pharmacy, nutrition, dentistry and medicine in the New York, New Jersey and Connecticut region. Dr. Harutyunyan’s presentation was broadcasted by a TV channel in the New York area and in Armenia. 
October 17-20, Drs. Varduhi Petrosyan, CHS Associate Dean, and Nune Truzyan, CHS Project Coordinator/Research Associate, received full scholarship to attend the 34th Annual Meeting of the Society for Medical Decision Making (SMDM) on the theme “From Evidence to Decision Making: Role of Behavioral Economics in Medicine” in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, to present their work on How Decisions on Tuberculosis Care Utilization and Place of Work among Migrant Workers from Armenia Influence TB Health Outcomes.
November 1-3, Dr. Petrosyan received partial scholarship to participate in the 2nd Global Symposium on Health Systems Research in Beijing, China, and present on the Re-establishing Universal and Comprehensive Health Coverage in former Soviet Union Countries.
November 8-11, Drs. Ruzanna Grigoryan and Arusyak Harutyunyan, both CHS Project Coordinators/ Research Associates, received scholarship to attend the 5th European Public Health Conference in Malta to present several CHS projects on Tuberculosis, Tobacco Control, Child Care and other topics.
Through their participation, CHS faculty and research staff shared Armenia’s experience with international colleagues, demonstrated the research and educational capacity of the AUA College of Health Sciences, and promoted international recognition of AUA in public health and health services research through collaboration with colleagues from various parts of the world.
