COVID-19 Home Oxygen Therapy

The COVID-19 Home Oxygen Therapy Program was designed by the COVID-19 Management
and Contact Tracing Workgroup of UCLA’s Operation Armenia, in collaboration with the
CHSR, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, the Ministry of Health of Armenia, and the National
Burn Center of Armenia. It was an innovative care program for low-acuity COVID-19 cases. It
aimed to free up crucial hospital beds and healthcare personnel to meet the needs of more severe
COVID-19 cases. The program allowed patients in Armenia, whose main reason for remaining
in the hospital was oxygen therapy, to be cared for in the comfort of their own home with a
comprehensive clinical visit program and an in-home oxygen concentrator. In 2022, the program
was stopped. The project team has published one article about the project and is currently
working on manuscripts to publish in peer-reviewed international journals:
