College of Health Sciences at the Annual Meeting of the Society for Medical Decision Making

Conf-Pic2Varduhi Petrosyan, Nune Truzyan, Ruzanna Grigoryan, and Meri Tadevosyan from the College of Health Sciences (CHS) of the American University of Armenia were competitively selected to present their work at the 33rd Annual Meeting of the Society for Medical Decision Making (SMDM) in Chicago, USA, October 22 – 26, 2011.  The 33rd SMDM Annual Meeting’s theme was From Evidence to Decision Making: Role of Behavioral Economics in Medicine; researchers presented and discussed innovative and challenging science related to all aspects of medical decision making. The CHS Researchers presented two posters “Influence of Financing and Payment Mechanisms on Medical Decision Making: Vaginal Delivery vs. Cesarean Section” and “Perceptions and Realities of Food Fortification in Preventing Anemia” and actively participated in the Global Health Working Group meeting, which considered opportunities for international collaborations.
