List of awards received by the Center and/or its personnel

In 2017, TSPH became a full member (http://ensp.org/full-members/ ) of the European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention (ENSP). ENSP’s mission is to develop a strategy for coordinated action among organizations active in tobacco control in Europe by sharing information and experience and through coordinated activities and joint projects. The ENSP is the only truly pan-European network active in tobacco control being the key grassroots organization in implementing the World Health Organization Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (WHO-FCTC) at a European level. As a representative of TSPH, Arusyak Harutyunyan participated in the ENSP General Assembly meeting during the second annual conference of the European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention (ENSP) International Conference on Tobacco Control 2017 in Athens, Greece from May 24-26.

 

Armine Abrahamyan (MPH 2015) and Varduhi Hayrumyan (MPH 2016) were competitively selected to receive full scholarships to participate and present during the Tobacco Control Workshop for Health Professionals in Warsaw, Poland, October 25-26, 2016.

Serine Sahakyan (MPH 2015) received Gulbenkian Scholarship (Short Term Conference and Travel Grants) to attend the Union World Conference on Lung Health in Liverpool, United Kingdom, October 26-29, 2016.

Lusine Musheghyan (AUA MPH 2013) received Gulbenkian Scholarship (Short Term Conference and Travel Grants) and Anahit Demirchyan (AUA MPH 1999) received AUA Professional Development Grant, Serine Sahakyan, Kristina Akopyan (MPH 2013), Arusyak Harutyunyan, and Aida Giloyan (MPH 2007) received partial scholarships from the conference organizers to attend and present in the 9th European Public Health Conference in Vienna, Austria, November 9-12, 2016.

Arusyak Harutyunyan (MPH 2009) received full scholarship from the organizers to attend the European Network for Smoking and Tobacco Prevention (ENSP) International Conference on Tobacco Control 2017 in Athens, Greece from May 24-26, 2017. In July 2016 Arusyak received an award appreciating her peer-reviewing efforts for the journal of Pediatrics.
